District Elder W. L. Dunham

District Elder W.L. Dunham is truly a servant, committing himself to The Lord & to The Ministry. He grew up as a “Pew Baby” spending countless hours each week in church, because his mother insisted on training her children in the fear of The Lord. He received the Holy Ghost at the age of 15, and always knew there was a calling on his life. District Elder Dunham spent years running from the call, but in 2004, he publicly acknowledged his call to preach.

District Elder Dunham has served in several offices in the church; from Brotherhood President to Worship Leader, and Sunday School Superintendent to name a few. In 2008, elected by his pastor (Apostle A. Philip Parrott), our Pastor was ordained an Elder in The Lord’s Church. As an ordained Elder, Apostle Parrott appointed him Assistant Pastor of the Bible Way Cathedral of Deliverance. In 2018, at the International Holy Convocation, Chief Apostle Huie L. Rogers elevated him to the office of District Elder.

In July of 2021, District Elder Dunham accepted the unanimous decision of the Board of Trustees of the First Way of the Cross to serve as interim pastor for the 2021-22 church year. He became the offical Pastor in October of 2022. Despite several elevations and appointments, District Elder Dunham has diligently maintained the humble disposition of a servant. 

Pastor Dunham met Marilyn Anderson at the Bible Way Cathedral of Deliverance, and it did not take long for him to recognize that she indeed was his “good thing” (Proverbs 18:22). They went on their first date in February 2002 and married in April 2002. (Yes, just 2 months!) To this union was born two sons, Jeremiah Andrew (April 2005) and Ezra Matthew (November 2009). District Elder Dunham feels blessed to have his family and crowns them his life’s proudest accomplishment. 

District Elder W. L. Dunham loves the Word of God. He is an avid reader, devoted husband and father and a Prayer Warrior. Every new year marks a renewed fire for God, as he has covenanted to fervently pursue a Spirit of Excellence in all that is designated to his charge.
